Provides accounting services to a diversified portfolio of clients, including aircraft lessors, project finance, asset-backed securitizations, and special purpose vehicles (SPV) firms. Acts as a key liaison with clients, responsible for preparing management accounts, financial statements, coordinating audits, tax and compliance matters, and corporation tax.
Responsibilities
Managing a diverse portfolio of clients to include; SPV, Aircraft, Project Finance, ABS.
Serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring high levels of service delivery in line with service level agreements (SLA).
Build and maintain strong client relationships, escalating issues as needed.
Prepare annual financial statements and monthly/quarterly management accounts within strict deadlines and regulatory standards.
Ensure timely completion of client deliverables, including tax filings, regulatory reporting, and ad-hoc requests.
Address client queries promptly.
Provide guidance to less experienced personnel.
Collaborate with auditors, lawyers, and other transaction parties as required.
Improve and implement processes to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
Support the creation of business and functional requirement documents; test and implement new requirements.
Coordinate secretarial filings to meet statutory deadlines.
Manage general administration for client portfolios in collaboration with relevant teams.
Participate in special projects, including assessing new legislation relevant to client SPVs.
Contribute to client accounting service reviews and due diligence meetings.
Adhere to risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls, escalating risk-related issues to management.
Promote an inclusive environment and maintain internal control standards, addressing audit points and regulatory issues.
Skills/Experience
Bachelor''s degree in Accounting or related field with a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience totaling at least 7 years, including 3 years of relevant work experience.
ACCA or CIMA qualified.
Experience with GAAP and IFRS accounting standards essential.
Proficient in IT, including Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), and industry-specific software.
Experience with financial controls.
Detail-oriented with the ability to understand financial risk and critically appraise processes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
