Steve Willis Training are looking for a Gas Trainer/Assessor to deliver high quality training for their short course customers, based at their Portchester Centre with requirement to travel to their Burgess Hill Centre with prior discussion and agreement.- This role is part time but they would also love to hear from you if full time is preferred.
The key responsibilities for this role are:-
- Teaching/assessing short course customers with time allocated for preparation
- Plan and maintain the Scheme of Work and Lesson Plans for nominated groups
- Use lesson plans to suit the scheme of work and work on correct version
- Ensure training content is delivered in a timely manner and understood by learners so assessment ready
- Maintain safe working practices in the workshop
- Provide on course Advice and Guidance
- Attend team meetings & participate in training and CPD activity
Qualifications, knowledge and experience required are:-
Essential: -
- Level 3 Diploma in Gas Utilisation (C&G 6014) Level 3 or Gas equivalent
- Independent ACS Qualifications (relevant categories to include existing Gas Frameworks)
- Minimum 5 years+ in the industry with wide ranging experience in the field of Domestic Gas.
- Current and up to date knowledge of regulatory standards
Desirable:
- A1 or TAQA equivalent
- PTLLS, Cert. Ed., DTLLS or equivalent
- 5 years+ in the industry (a time serviced apprentice) with wide ranging experience in both domestic and commercial fields
- Experience of Gas programme delivery within a college or training organisation in either a part or full time role at course tutor level
- Understanding of the regulatory requirements of the gas industry and other bodies (e.g. UKAS, certification bodies, Gas Safe etc)
