Gas Engineer

To deliver an efficient, compliant, and consistently high standard of gas repairs, servicing, and installations to social housing properties in accordance to governing trade (Gas Safe) organisation and current building regulations as amended, ensuring that customer satisfaction is at the heart of every job you complete. Key duties and responsibilities: To undertake gas servicing, repairs and/or installations to properties in an efficient and effective manner, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with relevant policies and legislation. To effectively identify and repair faults, striving for repairs to be a first-time fix whilst ensuring good quality in line with standards. To liaise with customers and other staff, as appropriate, to ensure all relevant individuals are aware of progress and action taken. In more complex cases to refer the matter to a senior member of staff to identify the necessary remedial action. Ensure all works are completed in the most cost-effective manner, identify and pre-ordering materials from suppliers when necessary, ensuring that the customer is advised of the order progress. Maintain up-to-date knowledge on legislation and policy changes related to the gas environment. As required, to provide technical advice, support or guidance to colleagues and other trades to enable them to carry out their duties.
