Gas Engineer

Fraser Edwards Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Gas Engineer on behalf of a well-established property maintenance company delivering repair and maintenance services across Preston and the surrounding areas. 

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business carrying out domestic gas servicing, repairs and maintenance across occupied and void residential properties.

The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent fault-finding skills and experience delivering a high-quality service within domestic properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out responsive maintenance and repairs to domestic boilers and heating systems in occupied and void properties.
• Undertaking all aspects of domestic gas and plumbing repairs.
• Completing gas safety inspections and landlord gas safety checks in tenanted and void properties.
• Conducting gas safety testing, system checks and identifying and repairing leaks.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs to domestic heating and hot water systems.
• Responding to emergency repair requests and ensuring issues are resolved safely and efficiently.
• Ensuring all work complies with current gas safety regulations and relevant industry standards.
• Maintaining accurate records of completed works, inspections and safety checks.
• Participating in the company's call-out rota as required.

About You

• Previous experience as a Domestic Gas Engineer within property maintenance, social housing or a similar environment.
• Valid ACS Gas Safe qualifications, including CCN1, CENWAT1 and CKR1.
• Strong experience in domestic boiler repairs, servicing, fault finding and plumbing maintenance.
• Good understanding of gas safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently, manage workloads effectively and deliver excellent customer service.
• A full, valid UK driving licence.
