£26 - £28/hour
We are looking for a Gas Engineer to work within social housing properties in Cannock, primarily on kitchen and bathroom projects, with some travel required to support other contracts.
The Gas Engineer will receive:
- Van and fuel card supplied
- 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Opportunity for a permanent role after 12 weeks
- Requirement to join an out-of-hours rota (1 in 4 weeks, covering gas and plumbing callouts, approx. 2-5 per week)
The Gas Engineer will be expected to complete:
- Boiler installations, isolations, gas pipe alterations, reconnecting appliances, capping off and inspections
- Servicing, fitting parts, meter moves and fault finding
- Gas flues for roof replacements
- Enabling works for decarbonisation projects (extending flues and gas pipes, isolation and recommissioning)
- Domestic gas testing and certification of all works
- Working in both occupied and void properties
- Managing workload independently from job tickets or handheld devices
We are really keen to speak to any Gas Engineer who has:
- Experience in social housing and planned maintenance
- ACS, CKR1, CCN1, CENWAT/CEN1, HTR1 & CPA1 certifications
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to undertake a DBS check
£50,000 per annum
