Garment Technologist - 6-Month Maternity CoverLocation: Poole, DorsetSalary: 35,000- 40,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experienceContract: 6-month fixed-term maternity coverStart date: Ideally week commencing 9th November 2026, with some flexibilityTeamJobs is recruiting for an experienced Garment Technologist to join a fashion brand in Poole on a six-month maternity cover contract.Working closely with Design, Merchandising and suppliers, you''ll manage the technical development of garments from initial samples through to production approval, ensuring products meet the brand''s fit, quality and construction standards.The roleReview fit, pre-production and production samples, providing clear technical feedback.Conduct fit sessions and resolve fit, measurement and construction issues.Create and maintain technical specifications, measurement charts and grading requirements.Liaise with suppliers and factories to resolve technical queries and keep approvals on schedule.Coordinate fabric and garment testing, including colourfastness, shrinkage and performance.Ensure products meet quality, safety and compliance requirements.Monitor sample and approval deadlines, highlighting any risks or delays.Investigate product quality issues and recommend practical, commercially viable solutions.Maintain accurate technical records and support a smooth handover at the end of the contract.About youYou''ll have previous experience as a Garment Technologist, with strong knowledge of garment ..... full job details .....
