Working as part of a small team and reporting to the House Manager, you''ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the estate''s extensive grounds, which include formal and informal lawns, paddocks, woodland, flower beds, hedges, exotic trees, a small lake, and an outdoor pool area. Gardener Day to Day Duties Maintain formal and informal lawns, including mowing, feeding, aeration, scarification and weed control. Cut, shape and care for hedges. Maintain smaller trees and monitor larger trees, recommending specialist contractor work where required. Weed, feed and maintain flower beds and planted areas. Recommend new planting schemes and improvements to existing beds. Carry out seasonal planting and prepare hanging baskets and pots.
