About the Role
Based in Cheltenham, this permanent position as Gardener and Site Team Operative (Weekend work) involves maintaining school grounds to a consistently high standard throughout the year. Working two shifts weekly, typically Friday and Saturday, with possible flexibility, the successful candidate will handle gardening and landscaping duties across an extensive site. Practical horticultural skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently are essential. The salary ranges from £10,210 to £10,536 per annum for this part-time commitment. This role suits someone who takes pride in outdoor upkeep and enjoys contributing to a well-kept environment. Previous grounds maintenance experience would be advantageous.

- Plan and implement seasonal planting schemes for flower beds and entrance displays, working within agreed budget parameters.
- Maintain healthy plant stock through appropriate watering, feeding and treatment for pests and disease, accordance with COSHH regulations and the school’s health and safety policies, ensuring safe storage and disposal of all horticultural chemicals.
