Gardener / Horticultural OperativeWe are seeking a skilled and reliable Gardener / Horticultural Operative to deliver high-quality grounds maintenance services in line with established horticultural standards and specifications.This is a hands-on role requiring a high level of practical gardening expertise, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to health and safety.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, and clearing of leaves and litterPlant bedding plants, trees, and shrubsUndertake shrub bed planting and maintenance, including pruning and divisionApply chemicals in accordance with regulations and best practiceMaintain, set out, and mark sports facilitiesPerform general soft landscaping works such as top-soiling, cultivation, seeding, and shrub-bed renewalOperate vehicles, plant, and machinery safely and responsiblyEnsure all vehicles, tools, and machinery are kept in good working order and comply with Health and Safety and Road Traffic RegulationsReport any defects in tools, equipment, or machinery to the line managerTake reasonable care for your own safety and that of othersCooperate with managers and supervisors to meet statutory health and safety requirementsReport incidents, accidents, hazards, and faults promptlyThe Ideal Candidate Will HaveProven experience in horticulture or grounds maintenanceA strong understanding of horticultural standards and practicesExperience operating plant and machinery safelyKnowledge of safe ..... full job details .....
