Shop ManagerLocation: BasingstokeSalary: Competitive (DOE)Hours: 40 hours/week, alternate weekendsAbout the RoleWe''re recruiting a Shop Manager to join a well-established and growing garden centre, overseeing a broad retail offer across sundries, furniture and home/gift.This is a key management role within the business, responsible for leading teams, driving commercial performance and maintaining high retail standards across multiple departments. A good level of horticultural knowledge is required, particularly within sundries, alongside strong retail management experience.With ongoing investment planned for the centre, this is an excellent opportunity to join at an exciting time and play a key role in its continued development, working under a highly regarded and supportive senior manager.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, manage and develop a team of 7-15 staff across the shop floorOversee day-to-day operations across sundries, furniture and home/gift departmentsDrive sales and commercial performance through effective planning and prioritisationManage stock control, ordering and product flowCreate and maintain high standards of visual merchandising and product displaysEnsure excellent customer service and a strong in-store experienceOversee cash handling, tills and daily financial processesMaintain a safe working environment, including risk assessments and complianceEnsure shop floor standards are consistently high, including housekeeping and organisationWhat We''re Looking ..... full job details .....
