Garage Technician

Joining a small team this role is to service a variety of vehicles, various brands and deal with the repair of bodywork.Job Summary: As a Garage Technician you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles. The role involves working with mechanical and electrical systems to ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and roadworthy. Ideally a minimum of 2-3 years experience.Key Responsibilities:Perform routine servicing and maintenance (oil changes, brakes, tyres, etc.)Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipmentRepair or replace faulty parts and componentsConduct vehicle inspections and safety checksMaintain accurate service records and job sheetsEnsure all work complies with safety and manufacturer standardsKeep the workshop clean, organised, and safeCommunicate with customers or service advisors about required repairs Skills and Competencies:Strong knowledge of vehicle systems (engine, transmission, braking, electrical)Ability to use diagnostic tools and softwareProblem-solving and fault-finding skillsAttention to detail and accuracyGood manual dexterityTime management and ability to meet deadlinesBasic IT skills for job logging and diagnosticsQualifications and Experience:NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or ..... full job details .....
