Garage AssistantLocation: EH14 2TFHours of Work: Monday - Friday 36 hours per weekPay Rate: £14.51 per hourTemporary Ongoing - Immediate starts availablePlease note the Garage Assistant requires a drivers licence as you will be moving vehicles within the yardThe Garage Assistant will support vehicle examiners and workshop teams by safely assisting with vehicle checks, helping operate vehicle controls during inspections, and maintaining a clean, organised workshop environment.Assisting vehicle examiners during inspections by safely operating vehicle lights, steering and brakes when instructedSupporting checks across a range of vehicle types, including vehicles positioned on workshop rampsWorking safely at slight height where vehicles are raised on rampsCommunicating clearly with vehicle examiners, mechanics and other workshop colleaguesCarrying out general housekeeping duties to keep the workshop area clean, safe and well-organisedHelping prepare vehicles and equipment for inspection, maintenance or testingReporting any visible issues, hazards or concerns to the appropriate team memberWorking both indoors and outdoors in a busy, professional garage environmentRequirements:Confident following instructions and working safely around vehicles and workshop equipmentComfortable operating vehicle lights, steering and brakes when directed by a vehicle examinerComfortable working at slight height while vehicles are positioned on rampsGood communication skills and a reliable, positive ..... full job details .....
