Gambling Support Practitioner
Whether your background is in gambling-specific treatment or in the wider addiction and recovery field, drug and alcohol services, mental health, or related social care, being a Gambling Support Practitioner is a strong fit for people with real experience supporting behaviour change. You''ll find plenty here that''s familiar: full structured interventions using CBT and motivational interviewing, supporting people through assessment, formulation and recovery planning, as well as brief check-ins for clients further along in recovery, all delivered within GamCare''s Model of Care. Sessions are delivered face to face, by phone and by video, alongside outreach and partnership work with local services and referral pathways. You''ll manage this with your own professional judgement on complex cases, working within clear governance and safeguarding frameworks and backed by regular supervision, using the core skills you already have, applied in a new context and grounded in a proven, structured model. About you We''re looking for someone with real experience delivering CBT-informed or motivational interventions, wherever that experience comes from. You''ll be confident managing a caseload with genuine complexity and risk, comfortable using both low- and high-intensity interventions, and able to work within clear governance and safeguarding frameworks while using your own professional judgement.
