The role involves using hand and power tools, applying stains and finishes, and ensuring all products meet quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Sand, smooth, and prepare wooden furniture surfaces. Apply stains, paints, lacquers and other finishing materials. Polish furniture to achieve the required finish.. Repair scratches, dents, chips, and other surface imperfections. Mix stains and finishes to match specified colours. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. Operate and maintain polishing and finishing equipment safely. Follow health and safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Keep the work area clean, organised, and free of hazards. Work with production teams to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
