Furniture assembler

Proactive Personnel is recruiting for a Furniture Fitter.

Working Hours: 6am-2pm 

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in furniture assembly, joinery, fitting or a similar practical role. You will be responsible for assembling furniture accurately, using hand and power tools, and ensuring finished products meet the required quality standards.

Candidates with previous furniture assembly experience are preferred, but those with transferable practical skills and a willingness to learn will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Assembling furniture and components accurately and efficiently.
• Using hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks.
• Measuring, fitting and securing components correctly.
• Following instructions and working to the required specifications.
• Checking completed furniture to ensure a good-quality finish.
• Handling materials and furniture safely.
• Keeping the workshop and work areas clean and organised.
• Working as part of a team to meet production deadlines.

Requirements

• Previous experience in furniture assembly, joinery, fitting or a similar hands-on role is desirable.
• Confident using hand and power tools.
• Good practical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work accurately.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Comfortable with manual handling and physical work.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
