£15.83p/h, Monday to Friday, 3 shift rotation, AM/PM and Nights, Temp to perm, Weekly pay, 28 days holiday, training and development opportunities, Rotherham, Immediate start. Due to an increase in demand and continued success a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Furnace Operator to join a global leading engineering business, with very high staff retention, based at their engineering facility in the Rotherham area. Working as part of a friendly team and reporting to the Production Manager, your day-to-day duties include: Setting and operating annealing furnaces. Responsible for the manufacturing line while running multiple products simultaneously. Checking product thickness, strength, colour, and positioning. Understanding and interpret engineering drawings. Ensuring all necessary product information is recorded accurately. Using FLT counterbalances and overhead cranes to load and unload machinery. Adhering to all health and safety procedures. This role would suit someone who has worked as a Furnace Operator, Foundry Operative, Grinder, Fettler, Steel Worker and Rolling Mill Operative within a foundry, steel works or heavy engineering/ manufacturing environment. The successful Furnace Operator will have: Their own or inhouse FLT counterbalance licence (must be able to provide a copy).
