Funeral Operative Location: Shire Hill, Saffron Walden, CB11 3AQ Salary: Total earnings £35,500 - £39,500 per annum (Basic pay £27,500 p.a. Participation in Out of Hours Rotas generates additional overtime and allowances circa. £8K - £12K p.a.) Funeral Operative - The Role: This is an active role, where no two days are the same. Offering a wide range of practical funeral related tasks that will involve heavy lifting, the role will also include chauffeuring our funeral cars and therefore a smart appearance and a full, clean driving licence is essential. You will: • Support ceremonial aspects of funerals. • Work with nursing homes, hospitals and other facilities to bring individuals into our care. • Prepare and trim coffins. • Maintain funeral vehicles and ambulance fleets to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation. • Work in the mortuary environment in the care, preparation and presentation of those in our care.
