Your role as a Funeral Arranger is to play a crucial role in providing compassionate support to families during their time of loss. This position involves overseeing all aspects of funeral services, ensuring that each service is conducted with dignity and respect. The Funeral Arranger will work closely with bereaved families to plan and execute all funeral arrangements.
Duties
- Conduct consultations with families to discuss their wishes and requirements for funeral services.
- Prepare and file necessary legal documents related to death certificates and burial permits.
- Coordinate transportation of the deceased, including the use of hearses and other vehicles.
- Manage the logistics of funeral services, including setting up venues, arranging flowers, and coordinating with clergy or celebrants.
- Provide emotional support to grieving families, offering guidance and resources as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the funeral home.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach towards grieving families.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure all aspects of service are managed effectively.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
