Fundraising and communications manager

The Bridgend Centre has been providing support to the people of Bollington in Cheshire for 36 years. We are a small, registered charity that supports over 1,250 people every year, particularly those who are experiencing difficulties in life. We are looking for a special person who can take on the role of Fundraising and Communications Manager and support us in our next phase of growth and change. This is a new post that will be responsible for driving forward both our fundraising and marketing activities, to enable the growth and continuity of the charity''s activities. You will work closely with the Chief Officer and Board of Trustees to increase our income and develop marketing activities to increase the reach and profile of our supporters. We are looking for a results driven individual with at least two years fundraising experience in a charity of comparable breadth and scope. We would expect the successful candidate to have bid-writing experience as the role requires writing around 10-12 applications in the first six-month period, depending on the size of the grants. Our CRM database currently has 500 contacts and we would like to grow this as part of our Supporter Stewardship programme. Someone who is creative and flexible in their approach and has an understanding of the complexities and challenges of working in a small charity is vital.
