Yes, fundraising is part of the role. But we''re not necessarily looking for a career fundraiser. Someone who knows the people of Salisbury, who enjoys meeting people and has spent years building relationships. Someone who can walk into a room, start a conversation and spot an opportunity to bring people together. You might come from sales, business development, professional services, account management, marketing or the local business community. You may have run your own business or reached a stage in your career where another full-time corporate role isn''t particularly appealing. Or perhaps you''re simply an exceptional networker who''s built a fantastic local network through business, community groups and years of living and working in the area. But 25 hours a week, using your experience and contacts to support one of Salisbury''s most important local charities? That might be rather different. What is the opportunity? Your job is to help Salisbury Foodbank build relationships and generate the financial support it needs to continue its vital work. You''ll develop relationships with local businesses, individuals, supporters and community groups; attend networking events; open doors; create partnerships and identify new opportunities for support.
