Fundraiser (Community and Local Business)

The Otakar Kraus Music Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Community and Local Business Fundraiser to help us grow support for our work across Richmond and surrounding areas. OKMT uses music therapy and inclusive music projects to improve the lives of over 500 children and adults each year, including people with disabilities, neurological conditions and dementia. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new role within a small, friendly charity. You will build relationships with local businesses, schools, clubs and community organisations; develop sponsorship and Charity of the Year opportunities; support fundraising events and individual fundraisers; and help inspire more people across our community to support OKMT. We are looking for a confident, warm and self-motivated relationship-builder with experience of fundraising, business development or a related field and a track record of generating income. Key Responsibilities Community Fundraising Build relationships with local schools, clubs and organisations to generate event participation and donations. Develop with the Director and Fundraising Manager a case for support and accompanying materials to pitch to potential community or local businesses. Organise events with community or business partners and support OKMT''s own fundraising events including our triennial Music Marathon, walks and seasonal appeals.
