Functional skills tutor

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver Functional Skills courses in English, Maths, and/or ICT to learners of varying levels.

• Assess learner needs and tailor teaching approaches accordingly.

• Plan and prepare engaging lessons and materials.

• Provide feedback and support to help learners achieve their qualifications.

• Maintain accurate records of learner progress and attendance.

• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

• Experience teaching Functional Skills or equivalent qualifications.

• Strong knowledge of Functional Skills curriculum and assessment criteria.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to motivate and inspire learners.

• Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., Level 3 Award in Education and Training) preferred.

• Patience, adaptability, and commitment to learner success.
