Prospero Teaching are seeking a supportive Functional Skills Maths Tutor to deliver 1:1 tuition to a learner in Chester.

The ideal candidate will be confident breaking down mathematical concepts and creating practical, accessible sessions for learners who may have gaps in their education.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver personalised Functional Skills Maths sessions
Focus tuition around individual targets
Strengthen core numeracy skills
Adapt explanations and activities to learner ability
Help develop confidence with Maths
Encourage independent learning
Monitor and report on progress

Requirements
Previous Maths teaching or tutoring experience
Functional Skills experience desirable
Strong numeracy and communication skills
Experience supporting learners with varied abilities
Patient and encouraging teaching style
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
Right to Work in the UK
Two professional child-related references
