Job Title: Functional Skills Maths Tutor Location: HMP Whitemoor (March, Cambridgeshire) Salary: From £30,000 per annum Contract: Permanent, Full-Time The Opportunity Are you an engaging educator with strong numeracy skills looking for a teaching role where your work genuinely transforms lives? We are recruiting for a dedicated Functional Skills Maths Tutor to join the education team on-site at HMP Whitemoor. In this role, you will deliver City and Guilds Functional Skills Maths qualifications from Entry Level 1 through to Level 2. Teaching small, focused groups of up to 12 adult learners, you will play a vital role in their rehabilitation journey-using practical, adaptive techniques to make maths accessible, relevant, and directly applicable to future employment and daily life. What You Will Be Doing Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver interactive City and Guilds Functional Skills Maths sessions to small class sizes (up to 12 learners) across Entry Level 1 to Level 2. Assessment and Tracking: Conduct initial assessments and utilise BKSB diagnostic tools to establish baseline levels, setting up and maintaining Individual Learning Plans (ILPs). Targeted Support: Design inclusive, differentiated lesson plans catering to diverse learning abilities and additional needs, thoroughly preparing learners for formal examinations.
