Functional Skills Maths Class Teacher – SEND Setting
Are you a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher with experience in supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are seeking a Functional Skills Maths Teacher to join a welcoming SEND provision in Welling and make a real difference in students’ lives.
Role Overview:
Deliver engaging and accessible Functional Skills Maths lessons (Entry Level to Level 2).
Teach and support students aged 6–19 years old with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for a range of needs, including autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), and behavioural challenges.
Adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles and needs.
Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where all students can thrive.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for learners.
Track and assess student progress, providing feedback to help them achieve their goals.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Maths (Functional Skills desirable).
A passion for supporting students with SEND, with patience and creativity in your approach.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Pay: From £190 per day upwards (dependent on experience).
