Full-Stack Software Engineer - Java/JavaScript/AI Location: Manchester - 1-2 days onsite per week Rate: £600 per day (Inside of IR35) Duration: 6 months, with potential extension A leading global technology organisation is seeking experienced Full-Stack Software Engineers to join a multidisciplinary team developing innovative, customer-facing search experiences. This is a hands-on role covering micro frontends, Backend-for-Frontend services and Java-based Back End systems, deployed within an AWS environment. You will also use AI coding agents such as Claude and Codex to support software development, while retaining responsibility for reviewing, testing and delivering high-quality code. Key responsibilities: Develop and optimise customer-facing features across web and mobile platforms. Build micro frontends and Backend-for-Frontend services using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks. Develop and integrate scalable Java web services and APIs. Use AI agents to support feature development, testing and software delivery. Translate product requirements and UX designs into responsive and accessible features. Produce clean, maintainable and well-tested code. Support system reliability, monitoring, scalability and performance. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers and data specialists in an Agile environment. Essential experience: At least three years of commercial software engineering experience.
