Role: Senior Full Stack Engineer - Investment Banking

Location: London (3 Days Hybrid / 2 Days Remote)

Overview

An opportunity to join a global investment bank, designing and scaling cloud-native applications within the risk management space. You will drive end-to-end development using modern Java, Kotlin, React, and cloud technologies while working alongside cross-functional engineering teams.

Mandatory Skills

• Core Tech: Java, Kotlin, React, AWS Lambda, Kubernetes

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Development: Build performant frontend and backend systems using Java, Kotlin, ReactJS, and modern state management tools (Redux/Context API).

• API & Event Integration: Design RESTful APIs, gRPC services, and event-driven architectures leveraging Kafka and Flink for real-time data processing.

• Cloud & DevOps: Deploy and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS and Kubernetes while supporting automated CI/CD pipelines.

• Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, enforce clean code standards, and drive performance optimizations.

• Domain Alignment: Apply investment banking and risk management knowledge to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Technical Requirements

• Backend: Core Java, Kotlin, Multithreading, Algorithms, Data Structures, RESTful APIs, gRPC

• Frontend: ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Redux/Context API, HTML5, CSS3

• Cloud & Streaming: AWS (Lambda), Kubernetes, Kafka, Flink

• Process & Security: CI/CD, Agile/Scrum methodologies, security compliance standards
