OverviewFull Envelope Contracts Manager

– Covering the South East. Up to £85k all in.

As a

Contracts Manager , you will be expected to oversee a number of projects from start through to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget. You will work on a wide variety of roofing and/or cladding projects. You will be the first point of contact to the principal contractor, so excellent communication skills are essential. Health and safety issues will be a top priority, as will managing client expectations. You will be expected to have a good grasp of all commercial aspects of your projects while working alongside someone from the commercial department.

Each project will have a dedicated Project/Construction Manager who you will oversee, reporting to yourself on a daily/weekly basis.

You will work with the Quantity Surveyor to complete accurate CVRs on a monthly basis.

Key Responsibilities

People Management

Overseeing Management on each project.

Hold meetings with Project/Construction Managers to ensure progress.

Oversee Project Managers (or Construction Managers) and address on-site issues. Manage day-to-day site running and resolve on-site construction and design issues that PMs/CMs cannot overcome.

Allocate sub-contractor workforce to each project and manage ongoing relationships.

Attend on-site meetings to liaise with Main Contractor/Client to resolve any potential issues.

Strong grasp of health and safety on each project.

Escalate site issues to Health and Safety adviser when necessary.

Identify areas of risk on each project.

RAMS will be written by the PM/CM and approved by you.

Understand the budget for each project; review CVRs monthly with Quantity Surveyors.

Set, monitor and control all project budgets and spend.

Quality Management

Work closely with estimators, buyers, and planners to deliver projects on time.

Attend fortnightly project reviews with the project team for each job.

Ensure detailed programming for the site team to deliver the schedule without delays; liaise with the construction planner.

Review drawings before project start and work with the design team to resolve ongoing or potential design issues.

Attend handover meetings for all relevant projects.

Relationship Management

Escalate any problems affecting the project commercially or relationships with the Main Contractor to the Head of New Build.

Secure work and build strong relationships with the principal contractor.

Attend Pre-let meetings to secure projects.

Generate repeat business through relationships built from completed projects.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 6 or 7

SMSTS

First Aid Training

Full UK Driving licence
