Fuel Support Equipment Mechanic
Join a skilled defence team as an FSE Mechanic, helping keep essential military equipment mission-ready.The RoleBased in Fairford, UK you''ll get to work alongside our dedicated workforce on a UK Military base.Prior Fuel Equipment experience will be required, although additional training will be provided on site.This role is a fantastic chance for you to further develop your skills as a FSE Mechanic, working on a diverse range of military equipment in an exciting environment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesApplies knowledge of the design, system function, and interrelation of units comprising the system; physical properties and hazards associated with the handling of various types of petroleum fuels, chemicals, and alcohol; pipefitting skills, mechanical skills.Makes periodic inspections of units to detect and correct leakage, corrosion, faulty fittings, and malfunction of mechanical units, meters, and gauges such as R-11s, C300 series, and FORCE Equipment.Inspects electrical wiring, switches, and controls for safe operating condition, grounding, and adjustment.Repairs, replaces, and adjusts malfunctioning equipment to restore operating condition specified in regulations and repair manuals.Adjusts power boosters, drive chains, and tension devices.Solves complex maintenance problems by interpreting layout drawings, specifications, schematics, diagrams, and operating characteristics of vehicles/equipment and components.Uses technical orders, commercial manuals or ..... full job details .....
