The Front of House Supervisor Job Overview:
- Operate the venue efficiently, professionally, and positively, managing staff, hirers, functions, and events.
- Liaise with hirers and contractors using excellent communication skills, a friendly approach, and a keen eye for detail.
- Prepare rooms for use, reset them after events, and ensure the integrity of the building and its fixtures are maintained.
- Act as a keyholder and the emergency out-of-hours contact for the venue.
- Deputise for the Operations Manager and Venues Manager as needed.
- Take responsibility for maintaining high levels of customer service during public open days, events, and private functions.
- Oversee purchasing of cleaning materials, stationery, and items required for hires/events, with an awareness of relevant budgets.
As Front of House Supervisor, Your Key Responsibilities Will Be:
- Guest Experience: Ensure all visitors are welcomed professionally and provided with excellent service.
- Team Management: Supervise front-of-house staff, provide training, and manage rotas and shift cover.
- Room Reservations: Oversee booking systems, ensuring accuracy and smooth scheduling.
- Event Coordination: Support the delivery of weddings, wakes, and corporate functions.
- Budget & Reporting: Assist in monitoring expenses and contributing to operational reports.
- Process Improvement: Help implement best practices to enhance service delivery.
As Front of House Supervisor, You Need to Have:
- Experience managing a small team.
- Previous operational experience within a venue setting.
- Strong background in customer service.
- Ability to manage the upkeep and maintenance of a heritage or public building.
- Professional, positive, and efficient leadership style.
