Are you a reliable, customer-focused professional looking for a varied hands-on role in Cambridge? We are seeking a Front of House Porter to join our client''s team on an 18-month fixed-term contract.

You will be the welcoming face of their building while keeping day-to-day front desk and security operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Reception & Customer Service: Act as the first point of contact for staff, visitors, and contractors, providing a professional welcome and handling front desk queries.

• Mail & Parcel Logistics: Receive, sort, and distribute incoming post and courier deliveries across the premises.

• Building Security & Lock-up: Responsible for opening, securing, and locking up the building at designated times.

• Safety Monitoring: Monitor fire alarm panels, conduct routine visual safety checks, and assist with emergency response procedures.

• General Facilities Support: Maintain a clean, organised reception area and assist with light operational tasks around the site.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in a portering, reception, security, or front-of-house customer service role.

• Strong communication skills with a customer-first mindset.

• High attention to detail regarding site safety and security protocols.

• Ability to work independently, manage your own shift responsibilities, and handle fire panel monitoring (training provided).
