Front of House Events Manager

This role is perfect for someone with strong hospitality roots, proven management experience, and a flair for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
As Front of House Events Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth Front of House service delivery of Weddings and Events up to 85 guests. From maintaining service standards to managing a small team and responding to the needs of high-end clients, you will be a key person in the delivery of events at Borthwick.You will be directly managing a small permanent team and a wider pool of part-time event staff.You will lead the front of house delivery of weddings, private events, and residential stays. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, service and guest care.During event days this role is hands on, leading from the front and being one of the faces of our experience.Manage rotas, casual staff recruitment strategy and training to support annual business in a sustainable manner.Deliver communications effectively with other departments with regards to events to deliver excellent serviceStock control and ordering for wines, beers, spirits, soft drinks, tea, coffee and any event specific requirements.This role is extremely beneficial in hospitality life balance terms, giving an excellent balance of work/life and offering unique flexibility within the industry.What we''re Looking ForStrong experience in the hospitality industry, ideally at an events venue or private setting.High skills in Food and Drink service, Coffee making, Bar service are essentialPrevious leadership experience and the confidence to guide and develop a relatively junior team.A calm, composed approach to pressure and change, especially when dealing with unexpected client needs.A positive, emotionally intelligent style of communication.Excellent problem solving, time management and people skills.
