Location: Cardiff, Wales
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Full time contract, Monday to Friday 8:30am -3:10pm. (Could become permanent for the right French Teacher.)

Pay: -172.98 to -200 per day (depending on experience.)

A welcoming and supportive secondary school in Cardiff is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of French to join their Modern Foreign Languages department on a full time basis from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to inspire pupils and develop a love of languages across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Both experienced teachers and ECTs/NQTs are encouraged to apply.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective French lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting pupils of all abilities to develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in French. You will contribute to a positive and dynamic language learning environment within a collaborative department.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Ability to teach French across KS3 and KS4
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for French language and culture
• Enthusiasm for teaching and inspiring young people
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

• Experience teaching GCSE French
• ECT/NQT applications welcomed
• Knowledge of the Welsh Curriculum (or willingness to develop understanding)

• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• Two professional references
