A passionate and fluent Modern Foreign Languages Teacher with a specialism in French is required to join the thriving MFL department of an Outstanding mixed school in Harrow. This permanent full-time position, commencing in September, offers an exciting opportunity to cultivate a love of the French language and culture in students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5 (aged 11-18).

Responsibilities

• You will plan and deliver engaging French lessons that develop students'' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• The role involves fostering an appreciation for French culture and encouraging students to communicate confidently in the language.
• You will cultivate a dynamic and interactive classroom environment where students feel motivated to participate and develop their linguistic abilities.
• You will assess and monitor student progress with care, providing constructive feedback that encourages their language learning journey.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in French is essential.
• Native or near-native fluency in French is expected.
• Experience teaching engaging and effective French lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable, with experience at Key Stage 5 being an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside strong classroom management and the ability to inspire a passion for languages, are vital.
