Freight Operators

Freightserve-recruitment-are-looking-for-two-AOG-Freight-Operators-to-work-MondayFriday-8am-4.30-or-9am-5.30pm-for-a-well-established- Freight- Forwarder.-The- company-is-based-in-the-Feltham,-Middlesex-area.

The-Freight-Operator-is-responsible-for-coordinating-the-end-to-end- movement- of-international-freight-shipments-across-Air-and-Road-services-whilst-preparing- competitive-customer-quotations-and-supporting-commercial-pricing-activities.-The-role-ensures-shipments-are-delivered-safely,-compliantly,-cost-effectively- and-in-line- with-customer-requirements.-Working-closely-with-customers,-carriers,-overseas-partners-and-internal-stakeholders,-the-role-combines-operational-excellence-with-commercial-awareness-to-deliver-outstanding-customer-service-and-profitable-freight-solutions.

Responsibilities

Coordinate-import,-export-and-cross-trade-shipments-from-booking-through-to-final-delivery.-Arrange-collections,-carrier- bookings-and-transport-services.-Monitor-shipment-progress,-manage-milestones-and- proactively-resolve-delays-or-service-issues.

Act-as-the-primary-operational-contact-for-customers,-providing-shipment-updates,- responding-to-enquiries-and-delivering-effective-logistics-solutions-whilst-building-strong-customer-relationships.

Book-transport-with-airlines,-shipping-lines,-hauliers-and-approved-suppliers.-Liaise-with-overseas-partners-and-monitor-supplier-performance-to-ensure-agreed-service-levels- are-achieved.

Prepare-accurate-and-competitive-quotations-for-Air-and-Road-freight.-Obtain-supplier-and-carrier-rates,-calculate-freight-costs,-apply-agreed-margins,-support-RFQs-and-spot- quotes,-maintain-pricing-records-and-work-with-Sales-and-Operations-to-maximise- profitability.

Prepare-and-validate-freight-documentation-including-Air-Waybills,-CMR-documentation,-customs-documentation,-export-declarations-and-supporting-paperwork-where- applicable.-Ensure-compliance-with-company-procedures,-customer-SOPs-and-customs-regulations.

Track-shipments-through-Tracking-platforms-or-other-operational-systems,-update- milestones,-coordinate-customs-clearance-and-final-delivery,-and-communicate- proactively-with-all-stakeholders.

Complete-timely-invoicing,-ensure-accurate-cost-accruals,-verify-supplier-invoices,- monitor-shipment-profitability-and-minimise-unnecessary-operational-costs.

Meet-operational-KPIs-relating-to-service,-productivity,-documentation-accuracy-and- customer-satisfaction.-Identify-opportunities-for-continuous-improvement-and-support- business-objectives.

Experience-Required:-

• Minimum-two-years''-experience-in-freight-forwarding,-transport-or-logistics-operations.
• Experience-preparing-freight-quotations-and-obtaining-supplier-rates.
• Experience-working-within-a-customer-focused-operational-environment.
