      <description>Location: Birmingham | Salary: &amp;pound;40000 - &amp;pound;60000/annum | Type: Permanent | Working with a fantastic business in Birmingham, we are recruiting for a Freight Operations-Manager.-  The primary focus will be Road and Ocean Freight, But knowledge of Air, along with Customs and Sales expereince is an advantage. So an "all-rounder" would be perfect.-  Managing a busy team, you will have:      Demonstrable exposure to Road and Sea-freight within a freight forwarding environment.       Strong operational knowledge of freight suppliers, hauliers, and forwarding networks, with a sales background.       Sound Customs knowledge.-       Commercial awareness-with the ability to balance Customer Service-and profitability.       Excellent negotiation skills along with industry contacts.       Hands-on leadership style with the ability to step into operational detail when required.       Highly organised, calm under pressure, and solutions-focused.       Clear communicator, able to explain operational and commercial decisions effectively.     Ambitious, accountable and motivated to grow with the business. &lt;/ul</description>
