Freight Forwarding Operator - Requirements  

• Previous experience working within freight forwarding or logistics
• Experience working in import or export operations
• Experience with air freight, road freight or sea freight
• Good knowledge of the freight forwarding process and documentation
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail

 Freight Forwarding Operator - Responsibilities  

• Coordinate and manage import and/or export shipments from start to finish
• Arrange bookings with airlines, shipping lines, hauliers, and other transport providers
• Prepare and process shipping and customs documentation
• Monitor shipments and provide customers with regular updates
• Liaise with overseas agents, customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal teams
• Ensure shipments are delivered within agreed timescales
• Track and resolve any operational issues or delays
• Ensure all shipment information is accurately entered into internal systems
• Assist with customs clearance an compliance requirements where required
• Obtain and check freight rates and liaise with suppliers
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and service providers
• Ensure all shipments are handled in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations
