As a Freight Forwarding assistant you will be required to assist with and oversee the smooth and efficient running of the company's freight forwarding activities on behalf of our owners and parent company. The ideal candidate:   Conversant in Import and Export Customs formalities both in the UK and abroad inclusive of customs entries both import and export. An understanding of Destin8 would be an advantage. Have a good understanding for the various shipping lines serving the Iberian, Italian, Benelux and Chinese markets. Have a good understanding of road freight operations within the EU. Have a good understanding of what is required as a Freight Forwarder and how we can stand out against the competition.   Be an effective negotiator for the various parts of the logistics chain, especially towards rate negotiations with shipping lines and hauliers. Be able to work on their own or within a group / team environment. Be proactive in problem solving with an ability to think... Permanent
