Road Freight OperatorOur client is an established freight forwarding business specialising in road freight across the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Road Freight Operator to their team.This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience within road freight who enjoys a busy operational role and is confident dealing with customers, hauliers and overseas partners.Hours: Monday to FridayThe RoleYou will be responsible for managing road freight shipments from booking through to delivery, ensuring everything runs smoothly and customers are kept fully updated throughout the process.Your responsibilities will include:Arranging and coordinating UK and European road freight shipmentsBooking transport with hauliers and subcontractorsLiaising with customers, suppliers and overseas partnersPreparing and checking relevant shipping and customs documentationMonitoring shipments and providing customers with regular updatesObtaining and negotiating transport rates where requiredTracking deliveries and dealing with any issues or delaysUpdating internal systems and maintaining accurate shipment recordsEnsuring shipments are handled efficiently and within agreed deadlinesPreparing and providing competitive freight quotations and pricing for customersBuilding strong working relationships with customers and transport partnersAbout YouThe successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within road freight operationsWe are ..... full job details .....
