The Opportunity
An established and growing logistics organisation is seeking a Freight Forwarder / Logistics Coordinator to join its team based in Felixstowe. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced logistics professional to work within a fast-paced freight environment, managing shipments and supporting key client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating the end-to-end movement of import and export shipments
• Liaising with shipping lines, hauliers, customs agents, and customers
• Preparing and processing shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs entries
• Monitoring shipment progress and providing updates to clients
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant industry regulations and procedures
• Handling and resolving any shipment issues or delays efficiently
• Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience within freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain coordination
• Good understanding of import/export processes (sea freight experience advantageous)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• High level of attention to detail and problem-solving capability
• Competent in Microsoft Office and logistics systems

Desirable Experience

• Knowledge of customs procedures and documentation
• Experience working within port or container operations
• Relevant industry qualifications
