Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our client who is looking for a driven individual to oversee their freight forwarding activities in Belfast, managing multimodal shipments and delivering outstanding service to their clients.
What You''ll Do:
- Lead day-to-day forwarding operations (air, sea, and road) with a hands-on approach
- Manage and motivate the operations team to meet performance targets
- Ensure smooth customs clearance and regulatory compliance
- Liaise with carriers, agents, and suppliers to coordinate efficient transport
- Drive process improvements and ensure operational KPIs are met
- Work closely with customers to provide tailored logistics solutions
- Resolve escalations quickly and professionally
Criteria
- Previous experience in freight forwarding/logistics (import & export)
- Strong understanding of customs regulations and multimodal transport
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable using freight management systems and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of CDS/CHIEF systems and AEO procedures would be beneficial
