Job Description;Flexsource are currently recruiting a Freight Forwarder for our Client, one of the largest transport companies in Ireland, operating daily services nationwide, based in County Wexford.This role involves managing logistics operations, handling customs documentation, liaising with suppliers, carriers, and clients, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods from origin to destination. The Freight Forwarder must have a keen understanding of global supply chains, customs regulations, and the intricacies of freight operations to deliver excellent service and meet customer requirements.Key Responsibilities;- Lead pricing and manage freight forwarding queries.- Respond to customer inquiries via email and phone.- Provide competitive and timely rates for customers.- Maintain accurate records of all quotations, jobs, and movements.- Manage daily administrative tasks on the Transport Management System.- Oversee sub-contractor coordination for collection and delivery.- Issue daily reports to customers and manage historical rate analysis.- Ensure compliance with customs regulations.- Provide cover for sales tasks, including responding to inquiries.- Monitor and manage rate cards, customer communication, and price adjustments.- Assist with customer account setups, credit applications, and payments.- Ad hock duties as required.Key Requirements;- Experience in freight forwarding or logistics.- Strong organizational, planning, and administrative skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Excellent communication skills for building professional relationships.- Attention to detail and high-quality standards.- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.Hours;- Monday to Friday- Shift A 08:00 – 16:30- Shift B 09:00 – 17:30Pay and Benefits;- €40,000+ (DOE)- Life Assurance- Company Employee Assistance Programme- Cycle to Work scheme- Company contributory pension scheme- Start from 22 days ..... full job details .....
