Role: Senior Freight CoordinatorLocation: Doncaster (3 Days Office / 2 Days Home)Salary: £35,000 - £40,000The RoleThe role as Senior Freight Coordinator will see you sit at the centre of inbound freight - managing shipments across sea, air, and road, ensuring product lands on time, in full, and in the most cost-effective way possible.You''ll be dealing with a mix of suppliers, forwarders, and internal stakeholders - so the ability to challenge, prioritise, and make decisions is key.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging inbound freight from international and domestic suppliers through to DC deliveryPlanning and booking containers, tracking shipments, and staying ahead of issuesProactively resolving delays before they impact stock availabilityWorking closely with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokersHolding partners accountable on service, cost, and performanceEnsuring all documentation and customs requirements are accurate and compliantMonitoring freight spend, approving invoices, and spotting cost leakageReducing demurrage, detention, and unnecessary storage costsAligning closely with buying, planning, and warehouse teams during peak periodsKey ExperiencesProven experience in freight forwarding, shipping, or inbound logistics (Ideally as a Senior Freight Coordinator)Strong understanding of international freight (sea freight essential, air/road a bonus)Confident working with forwarders, carriers, and suppliers globallyGood grasp of customs processes, documentation, and ..... full job details .....
