We specialise in the global shipping and storage of high-end goods: paintings, sculptures, basically any valuable or bulky merchandise, alongside market leading SaaS technology to solve the problems that Registrars and Art Operations professionals face today.Our mission is to become a tech-driven company in a traditional industry, and therefore make the shipping and storage of bulky and valuable items as easy as possible by providing an online and seamless experience. We currently serve a wide range of customers from art galleries, antique dealers, auction houses, online platforms to interior designers.Your Role

As a Freight Coordinator at Convelio, you’ll be responsible for coordinating courier shipments. You’ll be efficient and detail-orientated, making sure that our shipments leave the warehouse promptly and with correct documentation. Your hard work will ensure that everything goes smoothly and our clients are delighted with their shipments from Convelio!You will be part of our Freight team of 6-8 Freight coordinators based near the airport at Heathrow, reporting to the Freight Team Manager. We are looking for team-members who are strong in problem-solving and processes to help build out our innovative shipping offer in the art world!What you''ll do

Coordinate courier export shipments from the UK, in good time and within budget, working with DHL and Fedex to book and then track these shipmentsPrepare all documentation required for the shipments to go smoothly through customs such as Power of Attorney (POA) documentsManage the export customs declarations for your shipments, with correct tariff codes for artworksProvide customer service support to the individuals importing your shipments overseas, offering advice to them on how to complete required customs documentsMonitor our shipments with reports on our internal systems, writing your updates into the system as the shipment progressesTroubleshoot shipments such as resolving customs clearance issues or failed deliveries to our clientsSuggest and implement process improvements within the Freight and Customs teamWork closely and collaboratively with our Customer Care and Warehouse teamsYour profile

You have an initial experience (1-2 years) in a freight forwarding or logistics roleYou are fluent in English and have excellent written and verbal communication skillsYou are comfortable working in a shifting environment and know how to prioritise your tasks autonomously. You are able to work very efficientlyYou have great attention to detail and can complete documentation accuratelyExperience in art shipping and/or within the startup ecosystem is a plusYou are an excellent learner with a desire to adapt to new concepts and technologiesWhat we offer
