Freelance Site Manager - Manchester

Your new company

Our client, a specialist construction and refurbishment contractor, is looking to appoint an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee refurbishment works within an educational environment in Salford. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering high-quality projects across the North West.

Your new role

Starting Monday, you will be responsible for supervising refurbishment works to two Food Technology classrooms and associated laboratory facilities at a secondary school in Salford. The initial phase of the project will operate on a late afternoon and evening shift pattern, ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently within a live educational
setting.

Duties will include:

• Day-to-day site supervision of subcontractors
• Monitoring health & safety compliance on site
• Coordinating works programmes and ensuring project milestones are achieved
• Managing site logistics and maintaining site records
• Liaising with project managers, contractors and school representatives
• Reporting progress and resolving any on-site issues

Working Hours:

• Initial phase: 4:00pm - 2:00am
• Duration: 8 weeks

What you''ll need to succeed

• Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Foreman or Site Manager within refurbishment projects
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage subcontractors and drive programme delivery
• SMSTS or SSSTS preferred
• First Aid at Work certification desirable
• Enhanced DBS Check (essential)
• Available to start immediately
