Overview
Freelance Site Manager required for a Midlands based roofing contractor. The role involves a 32-week contract on a complete replacement of a spray sheet roof at an existing data centre for the client’s installation of new PV panels. The project value is circa £1.5–£2 million. You will act as principal contractor and be involved from project inception, taking the full programme from the Contracts Manager to deliver to completion and handover to the client.Responsibilities
Supervision, control and health and safety for all subcontract labour.Site inductions, subcontractor and client liaison, including chairing all meetings and providing progress reports to the Contracts Manager and senior management.Management of an 18-week scaffolding package, including dealing with phased erection/dismantling around the building.Check and compile snagging lists once PV panels have been installed, identifying areas of works that may require repair/patch works.Attend to work progress on a Monday–Friday basis; some weekends may be required if access during a normal week is not possible.Requirements
CSCS Card, SMSTS and First Aid certificates are mandatory.Telehandler license is preferable but not essential.Experience working for a roofing contractor is essential.Role is outside IR35; both CIS and Ltd status will be ..... full job details .....
