About the Role

Freelance Driver Trainer (Contract, £150 per day) based in Halifax. You will deliver half and full-day coaching and assessment sessions for PDT Fleet Training Solutions, working on client premises using category B vehicles, mostly vans. Assignments involve a blend of classroom theory and practical on-road instruction for driver inductions or upgrade courses. Each half-day session lasts four hours, and you must complete precise assessment reports promptly. This contract offers flexibility across the region. We seek candidates holding relevant training qualifications, ideally with experience assessing light commercial vehicle drivers. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential. You should manage your schedule autonomously while representing this established training provider professionally at various client locations.

PDT Fleet Training Solutions is looking to onboard several Freelance Fleet Driver Trainers/ Instructors/ Assessors at multiple locations across Great Britain. This role involves working with prestigious clients and delivering a mix of classroom and on-road driver induction or upgrade courses at locations across the country.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work for the UK's fastest growing and forward-thinking providers of fleet driver training.
As a Freelance Fleet Driver Trainer, your duties will include the following:
               Delivering both half and full-day coaching and assessment sessions on client premises in category B Vehicles (mostly vans).
               Half-day courses are 4 hours in duration.
               Timely completion of an accurate assessment report.
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
               Desirable qualifications include being accredited as an (ADI) Approved Driving Instructor Fleet Trainer or recorded on the LGV National Instructors Register (NIR).
               A proactive approach to delivering engaging and inclusive training (positive driver behaviours are to be promoted).
               Experience in delivering courses in electric vehicles (free upskill training is available to the right applicants).
               Professional approach to the delivery of safe driving PowerPoint presentations.
               Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
               Your laptop and printer (all course presentation material is provided by PDT).
Benefits:

               We offer £105 for half day courses and up to £210 for full day Monday-Friday.
               Weekend work is occasionally available at enhanced rates.
