We act as a quasi-venture partner, embedding institutional rigour alongside operational and regulatory expertise to support fund managers in building long-term fund management businesses.We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Part-Time Financial Controller to manage and oversee the financial operations of our growing business. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the company’s finance function, working closely with a small team in both the UK and Luxembourg to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and effective financial planning.Location

Part-time, hybrid role (up to 2 days per month) with scope to expandResponsibilities
Financial Management: Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, cash flow management, issuing invoices and reconciliationsReporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and performance analysis for internal stakeholdersRegulatory Reporting: Support the Head of Compliance with FCA Regdata returnsBudgeting and Forecasting: Lead the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring actual performance against targetsCompliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with all relevant tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements; manage external auditsProcess Improvement: Develop and implement efficient financial systems, processes, and controlsAdvisory: Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making by the leadership teamStakeholder Liaison: Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and other financial partnersQualifications
Education: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent)Experience: Minimum 3+ years in a Financial Controller or senior finance role, preferably within financial services, venture capital, or a high-growth businessSkills
Strong financial reporting and analytical skillsProficient in accounting software such as Xero and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilitiesStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently and manage competing prioritiesWhat We Offer
