FRA Carpenter Multi
Position: FRA Carpenter / Multi-Trade Operative (Fire Safety) – Client Side - Location: Oxford - Salary: up to £43,441 - Excellent Benefits package
An established organisation delivering property maintenance and compliance services is looking to recruit an experienced FRA Carpenter / Multi-Trade Operative to join its Fire Safety team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled carpenter with fire door experience to work on a varied portfolio of residential and commercial properties, carrying out essential fire safety improvements that help keep people and buildings safe.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) remedial works, with a strong focus on fire door installation, maintenance and passive fire protection. The role also includes a range of multi-trade repairs to complete works to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair and maintain fire doors and associated ironmongery.
- Carry out passive fire stopping and FRA remedial works.
- Complete carpentry and general building maintenance tasks.
- Undertake minor multi-trade repairs including making good surrounding areas.
- Accurately complete digital job records and compliance documentation.
- Deliver excellent customer service while working in occupied properties.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to agreed deadlines.
Requirements
- City & Guilds qualification in Carpentry or substantial equivalent experience.
- Proven experience installing and maintaining fire door sets.
- Strong domestic carpentry and property maintenance background.
- Ability to use a range of power tools and work independently.
- Good understanding of health and safety within construction.
- Full UK driving licence (maximum five penalty points).
Desirable
- BM TRADA, FDIS or similar fire door accreditation.
- SMSTS or SSSTS.
- Experience in plastering, tiling, plumbing, brickwork or other multi-trade disciplines.
- Asbestos Awareness or UKATA certification.
Package
- Basic Salary up to £43,441
- Company Vehicle and Fuel card
