FPS Dental Team Leader Location: Belfast Duration: Temporary Salary: Band 5 Hours: 37.5 hours per week Application Deadline: 4.00pm on Wednesday 23rd September 2026 Main Responsibilities Responsibility for scheduling workload and providing direction on a day to day basis to the Payments Department. Ensuring that resources are available and arrangements are in place for staff and the department to meet directorate and organisational deadlines and comply with Standing Financial Instructions. Utilise IT based solutions for the management and control of the workload of the department, producing routine and ad hoc reports as required. Lead in the development of consistent and efficient working practices across the teams involved in the payments process, ensuring that the most effective and efficient payments processes are in place across all teams. Review processing throughput with FPS Service Manager weekly to ensure that backlogs do not build up and that contractors are paid promptly, accurately according to the relevant payment regulations and the BSO Standing Financial Instructions. Ensure controls are in place to eliminate fraudulent and unauthorised payments. Review list of any outstanding payments/approvals weekly with staff to ensure that payments are being monitored and followed up in accordance with the relevant procedures.
